Ordered Broiled catfish filet seasoned with salt and pepper, and a cup of clam chowder. Could not get clam chowder because it is a seasonal menu item. drove 22 miles from belmont to get the food. got the food after a brief wait. Friendly staff. price of the large catfish dinner, under $20, and i gave a $5 tip to the staff. drove 22 miles back to belmont. Gave the meal to my wife, who just got out of the hospital and has not had solid food for a week. she opened the box. Surprise your catfish is thickly covered with cajun seasoning. she can not eat spicy food after surgery, so the meal went in the trash. tried to call loves five times and got a busy line. finally got through but server can not hear me on the phone and hung up. tried calling back – lines busy again. went to another restaurant, amber jacks in gastonia, got a tasty dinner of broiled catfish seasoned with salt and pepper and a tasty bowl of new england clam chowder. Wife loved it. said it was delicious. next time i will not drive so far. Nice try, loves. but that was a waste of time, gas, and money.

Every New Years day the whole family would meet up at Love’s for lunch. Ofcorse you gotta have beans and greens but chicken tenders too .. Til mom passed away we just can’t seem to continue on .. She worked there too Til she had to give up working due to her health .. You may remember her as “Chris” Christine .. Beautiful friendly lady with blue eyes that melt your heart! That was my mom and she adored Mr & Mrs Love and they adored her … Good times back in the day
